Description
The Canarsie Trolley Graveyard is a forgotten burial site of Brooklyn’s old trolley cars. In the mid-20th century, hundreds of defunct streetcars were dumped into a massive pit along East 99th Street in Canarsie. Today the site—now filled in—hides the remains of those trolleys, once part of a 7-acre, 35-foot-deep “graveyard” for a bygone transit era
